Towit provides enclosed and open vehicle transport across the UK. We use Brian James trailers and work with private owners, dealers, and the motor trade.
These terms apply to vehicle transport services arranged through Towit of Kimada House, Urmston, Manchester, M41 6QT. By booking a movement you accept them. Last updated: 3 July 2026.
Towit arranges and performs the transport of vehicles within the UK and to and from Europe, using open and enclosed transporter equipment operated by insured professional drivers. The specific service — collection point, delivery point, vehicle, trailer type, and date — is the one described in your quote confirmation.
Quotes are fixed for the movement described and are based on the information you provide. If the job differs materially on the day — for example the vehicle is a non-runner that was declared as a runner, access is not as described, or the vehicle differs from the one quoted — we may need to requote, reschedule, or charge for reasonable additional work. A booking is confirmed when we accept it in writing (including by WhatsApp or email).
You confirm that you are entitled to have the vehicle moved; that the information you have given about the vehicle, its condition, and access at both ends is accurate; and that personal belongings and valuables have been removed from the vehicle unless agreed otherwise. Loose items travel at your risk. Please tell us in advance about anything that affects safe handling — weak brakes, leaks, modified bodywork, low ground clearance, alarms, or immobilisers.
Vehicles are moved by insured professional drivers, and cover for your specific movement is confirmed on the quote before you book. A photographic condition report is completed at collection and at delivery on every movement. Any claim regarding damage must be raised promptly, and the condition reports form the primary record of the vehicle’s condition at each handover.
Dates and time windows are agreed in good faith and met in the overwhelming majority of cases, but transport is subject to traffic, weather, breakdowns, and delays at collection points such as auction compounds and ports. Where a delay arises we will tell you as soon as practicable. Towit is not liable for indirect losses caused by delay.
You may cancel a booking free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled collection. Cancellations with less notice, or aborted collections caused by inaccurate information or the vehicle not being available, may be charged at a reasonable rate reflecting the costs incurred.
Payment terms are stated on your quote. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due as specified in the booking confirmation. For trade accounts, terms are as agreed in the account arrangement.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, Towit’s liability in connection with a movement is limited to the value of the insurance cover confirmed for that movement, and we are not liable for pre-existing damage recorded in the collection condition report, mechanical or electrical failure not caused by the transport, or indirect and consequential losses.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
