How it works for you
Once you're verified and in the network, getting work is effortless.
Job appears in your WhatsApp
When a customer books a job in your area that matches your vehicle capability, you'll receive a WhatsApp message from Tow It with the full job details: vehicle type, collection point, delivery point, distance, date/time window, and confirmed payment amount. No vague descriptions, no guessing what's involved.
Accept or decline — your choice
Reply YES to accept the job, or DECLINE if it doesn't work for you. There's no pressure and no penalty for declining — we understand transport companies have complex schedules. The job will be offered to the next suitable driver in the network if you decline.
Collect and deliver
Contact the collection point, pick up the vehicle, carry out the condition check via our driver app (takes 2 minutes — just photos and a sign-off), and deliver to the destination. Update your status via WhatsApp as you go — our AI handles the customer communications automatically.

Get paid within 7 days
Once delivery is confirmed, payment is processed automatically within 7 days — straight to your bank account. No chasing invoices, no waiting 60 days, no excuses. Our drivers tell us the prompt, guaranteed payment is the single biggest benefit of working with Tow It.
What we check before you join
Our customers trust us with their vehicles. So we take the quality of our network seriously. Here's what we verify before a transport company can receive any jobs.
Motor Trade Insurance
Valid motor trade insurance covering the collection and delivery of third-party vehicles. We check the certificate directly and verify it's in date. Annual re-verification required.
Goods in Transit Cover
Appropriate goods-in-transit insurance covering the value of vehicles in your care during transport. Minimum coverage levels depend on the vehicle tier you want to handle.
Operator Licence (if applicable)
For transport companies operating vehicles over 3.5 tonnes or running multiple vehicles for hire or reward, a valid Operator Licence from the DVSA is required. We check DVSA records directly.
Identity Verification
We verify the identity of the individual or company director registering. This is a standard KYC check to ensure we know who we're working with and prevent fraudulent accounts.
Equipment Check
We need to understand what vehicle types you can handle — open transporter, enclosed, flatbed recovery, motorcycle, etc. This ensures we match the right jobs to the right equipment every time.
References or Reviews
New applicants with no existing Tow It track record are asked to provide two trade references or demonstrate an existing verified review history on a third-party platform. Experienced, reputable companies are onboarded faster.

Driver FAQ
Do I need to pay to join the network?
No. Joining the Tow It network is completely free. There are no subscription fees, no sign-up costs, and no monthly charges. We take a platform margin on each job — the price we quote customers includes our margin already, so the amount you're offered is what you receive. No deductions, no surprises.
What vehicles do I need to be able to transport?
You only receive jobs for vehicle types your equipment can handle. When you register, you specify your capabilities: open transporter, enclosed, flatbed recovery, motorcycle, etc. You'll only be matched to jobs that fit your setup.
How are jobs allocated — do I compete with other drivers?
No bidding, no competition. Our AI selects the best-matched driver for each job and offers it to them first. If they decline, it goes to the next driver. Factors in the matching include proximity, equipment type, current workload, and your performance rating. Higher-rated drivers with more availability get first access to premium and higher-value jobs.
What happens if there's a dispute or damage claim?
The pre-collection condition check (photos + sign-off) is your protection. Any damage claimed must be evidenced against the baseline condition record. Our disputes team handles claims fairly and with reference to the photographic evidence. We're not in the business of stiffing drivers on manufactured damage claims.
Can I specify which areas I cover?
Yes. In your driver profile you set your home base, the radius you're willing to cover for collection, and whether you'll take national (longer distance) jobs. You can update these preferences at any time via WhatsApp. Our system respects your coverage settings and won't send you jobs outside your area.
How long does the vetting process take?
For most applicants with all documents ready, vetting takes 2–5 working days. The main bottleneck is usually insurance verification — if your broker is quick to respond to our confirmation request, the process is very fast. We'll keep you updated throughout via WhatsApp.
🔁 How does the Empty Leg feature work exactly?
Every time you confirm a delivery via WhatsApp, our AI automatically checks your current location against all pending customer requests nearby. If there's a vehicle collection on or near your route home that matches your equipment type, we'll send you a WhatsApp message with the job details and a preferential rate. You reply YES or DECLINE — it's entirely your choice, with no penalty for declining. The rate is slightly reduced compared to a standard booked job (to pass a saving to the customer who needs a quick turnaround), but since your fuel and time costs for the return are largely sunk, almost all of it is direct profit. Most of our active partners pocket an extra £300–£600 per week from empty leg jobs alone.
